Effectiveness of the PBL model on mathematics learning to cultivate mathematical literacy of elementary school students

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning model on mathematics learning instill mathematical literacy in elementary school students. Quasi Experiment was chosen as type this research. The research population 5th-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Cilacap, with sample consisting two classes, namely 5A and 5B. instruments used are test non-test instruments. Hypothesis testing carried out using independent t-test paired t-test. average score pretest before treatment 59.7 class 55.95 66.6, 62.15 post-test 77.7 91.8 results show that PBL influences increases students’ outcomes.
